Printing and copying
Here you can read about how to print and what to do if a printout fails.
Log in with your student account or LU card
- Log in to the printer with your student account and identify yourself with your LU card (or other access card) when you want to print, copy or scan.
- Connect your LU card to the copiers by placing the card on the card reader and logging in with your student account. Only one card can be linked to the printing service.
Copying and scanning - this is how it works
The printers also allow you to make copies and to scan. You find instructions on how to copy and scan on the Lund University website for the PaperCut printing system:

Printing - this is how it works
Your prints are placed in a central print queue and can be picked up at any copier in the faculty that is connected to the university's printing system. You can print from computers in computer rooms and our libraries or from your own computer. No prints will be issued until you have logged in and identified yourself at the copier.
Please note that:
- The paper format must be A3, A4 or A5; other paper formats are not accepted by the printing system. PaperCut.
- Prints with more than 2000 pages are automatically deleted.
- Completely identical prints sent to the printer within 3 seconds are automatically deleted.

Printing from your own computer
To use the printing system from your own computer, you need to install a printer client that works with all printers connected to the system.

You pay with a debit or credit card
You must connect your payment card to the PaperCut printing system to pay for your prints. When you register your card, 1 SEK is deducted from your card. This amount is then used for printing. If you want to change which card is linked to PaperCut, you go in and link the new card. The most recently connected card is the one used.

When is the money deducted?
When the debt is less than 50 SEK, the relevant amount will be deducted from your credit card at the end of the next month. When the debt is more than 50 SEK, the relevant amount is deducted from your credit card immediately. If there are no funds on your credit card, your printing options will be cancelled. We check every morning for three days whether there is sufficient funds and as soon as the debt is settled, you can print again.

At the PaperCut portal you can log in with your student account to see your latest prints, to connect/reactivate/exchange a credit card to the printing system, and to check your printing account transactions.
